Maddie Elizabeth

I had the opportunity on Wednesday to photograph Maddie again. She is Lucy's Best Friend Caleb's little sister and was born just 6 weeks prior to Knox. Her mom and I are hoping they will be as big of buddies as Lucy and Caleb are. I photographed Maddie when she was still in mom's tummy, then at 3 months, and now at 6 months. Its hard to believe her first year is half over! If she continues to get older, that means my baby Knox has to get older, too! She's a bit bigger than Knox to say the least, and one of these days I expect her to just sling him over her shoulder and carry him off!

Knox's Baptism

Knox was baptized on Sunday at our church, Franklin First United Methodist. It has been a huge source of influence in our lives, so we were very happy to now have made both our children members. Witnessing the event included both sets of the grandparents, Dan's sister, Melanie, Memaw (aka Aunt Gin), and our friends the Kochambas.

Knox sat patiently through the service and right before it was time to go up to the alter, he pooped. Now, normally, this wouldn't be a surprise for a baby, but this kid had not gone for about a week and being my son, he chose this opportunity!! I guess religion agrees with him...
He wore his new christening gown-yes, a dress. Its the only frou-frou item I have forced him to wear. We like the tradition of passing it down, so now he has a dress in which to embarrass his own son.

We kept it real, however, with his first pair of converse.

And so it begins.

After seeing several friends' blogs (thanks Sarah!), I decided to start one myself. I hope this will be a way of satisfying friends and family with updated pictures of the kids, as well as giving me a place to share the amazing experiences I have with each family I photograph.

Life with a princess...I guess every story has a heroine, and in mine, its her royal hincess princess Lucy. We spent a very chilly morning this week documenting her wearing her over the top fancy princess dress she got from Nana for Christmas. Her 3rd birthday is just weeks away and she is preparing for her Princess themed party by thoroughly acting the part!
